Good Morning!

Postby Richard18 » Thu Jul 15, 2010 7:17 am

Don't know where to post this so I guess here will be the best place... even if I don't have a "history" about it...

Richard is my name. 18. Blonde and white... the white part is my dandruff... I have a lot and my hairdresser gave me some Kerastase blisters last year to get rid of it. Must say that helped... at least for several months. But now their are back... and they didn't came alone... every time I take a shower I see loads of hair on the tub. Cannot tell if there are more than 100 but it looks like yes... Never saw that much hair falling together... and it looks like more every day... (I found them in my pillow too...)

Kind of desperate right now. I know I have to go to the doctor but is there anything that can help in the meantime? They have me an interview with an specialist in like a month...

Thanks!

Hi Robert! (it's Robert here :) )
Most cases of Dandruff (Pityriasis simplex capillitii) can be easily treated with specialized shampoos. (Some rare cases may be caused by overusing products such as gel or hairspray)

The hair loss caused by Dandruff normally is moderated.

The thing is if you have Seborrhoeic dermatitis. Redness and itching is actually seborrheic dermatitis, and it frequently occurs around the folds of the nose and the eyebrow areas, not just the scalp.

You should consult with an specialist to check if you have a fungal infection to treat it.

Hi Robert (it's Richard here... )
Anyway, thanks for the info.
I finally went to a doctor and told me that it's nothing... but I notice that my hair keeps falling! Any idea? is it normal? I'm losing hair everywhere around and I don't think is ok... I didn't notice that before?

:) Sorry about that! I swear that I see Robert18 instead of Richard18 :)

Did you went to a GP doctor or a specialist?
I suggest you go to a Dermatologist. He's the one that will tell you what to do.
